THE IMPORTANCE OF GOOD SADDLE FIT:
Why a saddle that fit yesterday may not fit today.
Just like people, a horse's body can change over time. They can increase muscle through work, lose muscling through illness or age, even gain weight when not ridden. A saddle that may have been a perfect fit one day, today may not fit at all. This is why regular saddle checks are imperative to keeping a horse's back healthy. Poorly fitting saddles can cause all kinds of problems including tremendous pain and even irreversible damage to a horse's back. All saddle related problems can be entirely avoided with frequent saddle checks and good saddle fit.

In this clinic we will educate attendees on why proper saddle fit is so important for the health of BOTH horse and rider and provide them with the tools and education on how to assess their current saddle fit and saddles they may purchase in the future. OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU:
Our goal in this clinic is protecting both horse and rider from the pain and long-term and even permanent damage a poorly fitting saddle can cause. Equine Thermal Care is not affiliated with any saddle companies, nor do we sell saddles. This clinic is purely educational, empowering horse owners and riders with the tools they need to assess any saddle fit themselves and not have to depend on others for that information.
CLINIC LOCATION:
Because this is a proactive hands-on clinic, it is important that participants have the opportunity to work on their own horses. This is why we travel to your location and bring our Saddle Fit Clinic to you. We can train up to 12 participants at a single location in two separate clinic sessions (6 participants each session) which greatly reduces the cost for each participant, plus it's more fun when doing this with friends. Choose a morning, afternoon or even an evening clinic, during the week or on a weekend. Indoor arenas are preferred but not necessary for the "Working Saddle" assessment. In instances where an indoor arena is not available, Clinics will be planned around good weather conditions.
If You Are Boarding Your Horse: Please be sure to get permission from your barn manager or barn owner to hold a clinic at their location prior to booking your clinic as you may need to work around their schedules, lessons and any events they may have planned. We are also happy to work directly with the barn manager or owner to plan the Clinic for you. In any instance where a barn charges a fee for use of their location, this fee will be passed on to participants attending the clinic. If for any reason your barn will not permit a clinic at their location, please call us and we can make other arrangements for a clinic for you. 201-477-0009
