Our ConvenientCare Thermal Imaging Service
Patients are our priority and it is important to us that our service is convenient for you. Our local certified veterinary equine thermographer will come right to your location so you don’t have to travel and that stress to your horse is minimized. We will schedule a mutually agreed upon time. Depending on the images being taken imaging usually lasts about 30 minutes. Once we are at your location, we just ask that you have a handler available to move the horse as we request so that we can take the appropriate images.
IRT is not harmful to your horse. There is no radiation emitted. We don’t even need to touch your horse when imaging. The IRT Camera just picks up the heat radiating from your horse’s body and maps it for us so we can see problem areas. There is no need to sedate your horse or to even be nervous out the process. Imaging is accurate, fast, convenient and affordable.
Image Reporting and Interpretation
Image interpretation reporting is completed by a certified veterinary equine thermographer. Your report will highlight all areas of concern to be further evaluated for complete diagnosis, showing you exactly where your horse hurts. At your request, Equine Thermal Care will be happy to consult with your veterinarian on our thermographic findings. As with all adjunctive screening tools (such as ultrasound, etc.) additional diagnostic screenings may be necessary and prescribed by your veterinarian for complete diagnosis.
Our Certified Veterinary Equine Thermographers
Our equine thermographers have been specially trained and are certified in equine and veterinary infrared thermal imaging and the use of veterinary approved thermal imaging equipment. As with all imaging (IRT, ultrasound, radiograph, etc.) "Standards & Protocol" and the use of proper imaging equipment must be followed and used in order to produce accurate, usable images that veterinarians can depend on. IRT is not regulated by the U.S. Government so don't put your horse or your wallet at risk. ONLY work with a Certified Equine/Veterinary Thermographer using the appropriate equine thermal imaging equipment to ensure you get high quality images you can trust.

We will minimize stress on you and your horse by making the process easy and convenient for you.
- Schedule an appointment - We will always do our best to accommodate your schedule
- No traveling necessary – We will come to your location to minimize stress on you and your horse
- Quick and easy imaging – We will need 30-45 minutes of your time and we don’t even need to touch your horse. Just have him/her stand and we’ll do the rest. Best of all, this is a harmless process, no harmful radiation used.
- We will do the rest! In approximately 48 hours, we will provide you with a report of our finds and will even consult with your veterinarian if requested.
